According to Mat Kendrick in the mail from Birmingham, Aston Villa have begun contract negotiations with midfielder stewart downing. The 26-year old said,

"I think that there has been a couple of talks already with my agent..." The administrator who has said that he would like to continue... I have already spoken. I'm enjoying my stay here. I have enjoyed from the first day I arrived. It is a fantastic club. It's fantastic that I want.

"There are great players." I am sure, despite this season, we are going in the right direction and if we get the rights players I'm happy... The important thing in football is, if you are happy, and then, why change it?

"However, in and around the place, Bolo has always been excellent and have someone in their team is important..." I have heard mentioned training, but as for me, bolus still has much to offer as a player.
